Mickey Memory Monday: Homecoming!

Last Thursday my sister in-law came home from her mission in Japan! For weeks leading up to it I would turn to Jeremy and say "I am sooo excited for Kirstin to come home!" Let me tell you the excitement hasn't faded, mainly because my honorary little sister will be going to BYU next semester! Another female Mickey in Utah Valley is a treasured commodity.

At the airport we arrived almost an hour before they emerged from the glowing terminal tunnel. We all wore colorful t-shirts that said "Welcome back" or some form of that in Japanese. The anticipation was at first very gripping, we paced back an forth especially because a 16 month old was accompanying us. After the first half hour of no word, the excitement waned and we noticed how many of the other people waiting looked at us weary eyed and saw all of us as a little comical with our enthusiastic conversation and matching t-shirts.

And my other sister in law Brianna did a splendid job HANDWRITING the t-shirts, they seriously look printed. 

Finally my mother and father in-law came out accompanying my sister in law whom we hadn't seen for over a year and a half!

We have all had an exceptionally fun two days down in California welcoming her home and in all honesty it doesn't seem like anything is different, we just got a missing piece back.
